No-slip condition

I am running a case where one of the boundaries is moving with a constant velocity. However, the particles right next to that boundary have different velocities than that of the boundary.

I also started a discussion on Github/DesignSPHsyics, when I run the simulation with same parameters on DesignSPHsyics, the solution gets unstable after some time.


  • In current implementation of SPH in DualSPHysics the particles will never ever touch the wall. Therefore they can in principle never have the same velocity. In next version a correction for this problem has been made and can be applied to your problem.
