Calculation of stress tensor on wall particle (turbulence)


To resolve the turbulent viscous term, we need to compute tau_a and tau_b where tau is the stress tensor.

The computation above seems reasonable if a and b are fluids.

However, if a fluid particle "a" interacts with a solid particle "b", may I know how dualsphysics computes tau_b?

Can someone please enlighten?

    at the moment, exactly the same way, since one of the assumptions of the current boundary conditions is that it is essentially fluid, that simply doesn't obey momentum conservation and has a fixed velocity. This is clearly a strech, but there are many many problems with boundaries and sph, turbulence is a minor one at this point.
