This page is meant to explain how to install DesignSPHysics in Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux.

For installing you will need:

• FreeCAD 0.16 or higher: You can download it in the FreeCAD official webpage.
• Microsoft Windows XP or higher or a GNU/Linux distribution
• And, of course, the DesignSPHysics installer. You can find it in the official website.

To install DesignSPHysics on Windows you need to unzip the installation files (download them here) in any folder.

You should see 2 items, an 'installer.exe' file and a 'resource' folder. Just execute 'installer.exe' and you should see something like this:

Just click the Install button and, if everything went fine, you should see a installation complete dialog.

That's it! DesignSPHysics is already installed. Just open FreeCAD and load the macro, and you're ready to go.

To install DesignSPHysics on GNU/Linux you need to unzip the installation files (download them here) in any folder.

You should see 2 items, an 'installer' file and a 'resource' folder.

For security reasons is very probable that your GNU/Linux distribution does not give execution permission by default in executables, so open a terminal in the extracted folder and run: chmod +x installer

Now, just execute 'installer' and you should see something like this:

Just click the Install button and, if everything went fine, you should see a installation complete dialog.

That's it! DesignSPHysics is already installed. Just open FreeCAD and load the macro, and you're ready to go.
