Installation

This page is meant to explain how to install VisualSPHysics for FreeCAD in Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux.

Requirements

For installing you will need:

Installing on Microsoft Windows

To install VisualSPHysics for FreeCAD on Windows you need to unzip the installation files (download them here) in any folder.

You should see 2 items, an 'installer.exe' file and a 'resource' folder. Just execute 'installer.exe' and you should see something like this:

Just click the Install button and, if everything went fine, you should see a installation complete dialog.

That's it! VisualSPHysics for FreeCAD is already installed. Just open FreeCAD and load the macro, and you're ready to go.

Installing on GNU/Linux

To install VisualSPHysics for FreeCAD on GNU/Linux you need to unzip the installation files (download them here) in any folder.

You should see 2 items, an 'installer' file and a 'resource' folder.

For security reasons is very probable that your GNU/Linux distribution does not give execution permission by default in executables, so open a terminal in the extracted folder and run: chmod +x installer

Now, just execute 'installer' and you should see something like this:

Just click the Install button and, if everything went fine, you should see a installation complete dialog.

That's it! VisualSPHysics for FreeCAD is already installed. Just open FreeCAD and load the macro, and you're ready to go.
