Creating a hollow cylinder using XML FILE

edited February 12 in DualSPHysics v4.2
From the user guide to XML files I found the following commands, Im using make cylinder, faces
ctecylindertube="0.6"
setdpctes ctecylindercover="0.7"
setdpctes ctecylindernumsides="40"

whats the tube width and cover width?? is it the inner and outer diameter?

Mask means hiding a face or deleting particles in that face?

is it possible to delete particles in a particular face? (open hollow cylinder)

  • Hi may be it helps but using mk void in your xml you can delete particles such as generating holes
    setmkvoid mk "xx"
    drawwhatever box ...

    ... you also could load a cylinder from a stl that has already a hole by itself - see the case pump as a template how to get vtks or stls into dualSphysics ...

  • Thanks a lot for your reply, however can you please throw light on ctecylindertube="0.6"
    setdpctes ctecylindercover="0.7"
    setdpctes ctecylindernumsides="40"
    as I already modelled the structure using faces , thanks again
